Welcome to Medellín, Colombia's second most
impressive and largest city, a principal manufacturing and industrial
area, in addition to a commercial flower growing region, particularly
orchids. But for years was top known as the center of the Colombian Cartels.
Because of the death of Pablo Escobar, Medellín is slowly recovering,
but is not yet a complete-fledged tourist and vacationers destination.
But one of the exceptions is, there is ample to do and see and experience
first hand within the city itself and the scenic surroundings. Medellín is known to be a beautiful city, modern and yet true to its regional characteristics. It was founded within 1616 within the scenic Aburrá valley, but remained modest until the coffee boom. It later transformed to a the center of a textile industry, and even today, is known to be a modern, vibrant city.Medellín is possibly top known for the culture, excited and enthusiastic people and beatiful girls. It is always an extremely attractive local community that serves
as the industrial and commercial centre for the surrounding region of
Antioquia. With roughly two million inhabitants, it is always Colombia's
second city. Did you know that the city is know as the "Cityof Eternal
Spring" due
to its mild climate all year long. Notwithstanding the fact that most
of the colonial architecture no longer remains, the churches within the
center of local community are and have always been worth a vist. The Basilica
de la Candelaria is recognized to be one of the most famous. Medellin, a beautiful city known by its cultural encounters, the warmth of its people and the amazing views that are and have always been most of the time accompanied by clear blue sky and lovely sunsets. around the time during the day, restaurants within Parque Lleras give or serve plethora of international cuisine and typical Colombian dishes. Soon after dusk, the tables are and have always been moved aside and the party begins. The sounds of Colombia came alive once we exited the cab and throughout minutes I was learning the sultry moves associated with la cumbia. Considered a style of party and dance and musical interpretation famous all over Latin America, la cumbia originated as an African courtship ritual. It was carried over around the time during the slave trade within the 16th century and has to this daybeen influenced over the years by musical instruments from various cultures.
